Day 12 Bonaire 11-3-10

The weather was much sunnier-Bonaire was getting back to her old self. We snorkeled in the morning across the channel. As we were crossing the channel, a White-spotted Eagle Ray could be seen through the murky haze. But Jerry did see it! Yay!

Across the channel we had another great encounter with a French Angelfish. I got just 1 good pic, but Jerry had a better angle on her and followed her a bit and got some really great shots.

In the late afternoon, we went back out 2 hours before sunset. The lighting was different and we saw a few new fish due to the day/night transition. But both of our masks were giving us fits, so we went in before it got darker.

Maybe tomorrow night I will be braver to do a night snorkel. We have underwater flashlights,so maybe we'll give them a try. Tomorrow sadly is also the last day to snorkel. We'll have to pack Friday and our gear needs to be dry.

Being home will be such a relief but I will absolutely miss this tranquil little island. What a relaxing vacation this has been, with no rushing around and the time to do what you want to do, when you feel like doing it.
