My life is full of all sorts of blessings. Most of which are my fantastic husband and our adventures together and my family. My love of my family, (particularly my sister's kids), and travel, have manifested itself in my love of photography. Here is where I will "show off" the people and moments I love and hold dear.

The Mother Weekend 1
It was a 2fer weekend for Mom's birthday and Mother's day celebration. I love you MOM! Thanks for always being there and being the supportive voice of wisdom, strength and example!
Jerry's New Project
Jerry found a pineapple plant at Lowes Garden center while I was shopping for my annuals. He wants to see if it is possible to nurture a pineapple to the end here in Alaska. He's even researched about these plants and discovered that it takes a pineapple 2 years to mature and that they are actually flowers. We're not sure 2 years from which point of they're growth, but I'll keep you posted as we progress along.

Update on the Karis Tree
Remember why and when I got the Karis tree? here is that story again: It was a sad tree needing love and a little bondage to help it start growing upwards.
A little over a year later and we've been able to take off her bindings. she is strong enough to stay tall on her own and look at how much new growth!!! she has definately been loved and nurtured and has the leaves to prove it! Oh and I have since researched that this tree is a Braided Benjamina Ficus.

Molly's New Profile Pic
Molly got to go camping with Mike and Rebecca (her other mother) and Rebecca took a very cute picture of what appears to be a well behaved dog. She's such a lady, crossing her legs. (yeah right- you shoulld see her when she's beggin' for a belly rub.)
It's her new "Our Dependant" picture along the side of my blog.
Thanks Rebecca for the great shot!

The Only Flowers North of Fairbanks
So it was my birthday, and I was working- on the slope. The farthest most northern coastline of North America, a couple hundred miles more north than the Arctic Circle. It was 10* out, windchill of -35* and blowing snow for blizzard like conditions. But you know how absolutely fantastic my husband is???
He, also being on the same coastline I was at, only 60 miles west of me, using some impressive logistics skills, wrangels a gorgeous bouquet of roses from Anchorage. He had the flower shop take them to Alaska Airlines and had them flown up.
They arrived via the crewbus a few hours later, boxed securely and looking fabulous!! Thanks baby for making my birthday so much more than I expected it to be. You're the best!
