My life is full of all sorts of blessings. Most of which are my fantastic husband and our adventures together and my family. My love of my family, (particularly my sister's kids), and travel, have manifested itself in my love of photography. Here is where I will "show off" the people and moments I love and hold dear.

Spectacled Eider
It's a Cold Bird's Eye View
The contrasting colors of ice is beautiful. Beaufort Sea ice is a baby blue while the inland pools, lakes and swamps are a mixture of greens. Jerry's theory is salt water vs freshwater for the color differences. I'm going to ask an expert when I get back.
Home Away From Home
I was choppered out of Point Thomson 5 days early on my last hitch. Several personnel who could kinda do their jobs off site (with a few irritating issues, but possible) were sent to work out of Deadhorse. Beaufort Sea is still frozen, so barge season has not begun yet, so the sea water desalination unit has not arrived yet and potable water was running low. The up side to this was I was able to work on the same pad as Jerry. We got to eat together everyday. It was great. But I still miss PT.
Go Potty Before You Leave.....
This is the sign on the Dalton Hwy (Haul Rd) heading South leaving Prudhoe Bay (Deadhorse). You may have heard of Coldfoot if you watch "Ice Road Truckers" on the History channel Sunday nights. (BTW- the chick driver on the show "Lisa" is the daughter of one of Kimberly's co-workers.)
